Jerry Pruitt If you ask Jerry why he throws pots, he'll tell you its simply because he loves it! It's still a thrill for him to take a bit of clay and turn it into a bowl, pitcher, or coffee cup. Jerry started throwing pottery in 1986 as a hobby, but soon had more quality pieces than he could ever use or give away to family! His pottery has been sold in Europe and throughout the Southeastern United States. Since his retirement as a civil service worker in 2003, he has been throwing full time. He now recides with his wife in Augusta, Gerogia. |
Merelyn Devers Instead of designing jewlery using polished and faceted gemstones, Merelyn uses rock crystals such as amethyst and quartz that come from the earth already sparkling. She combines such crystals with harmonizing colors of stained glass and forms them into one of a kind jewelry designs. Merelyn has been experimenting with jewlery designs for about 12 years and working with stained glass along side her husband since 1979. Merelyn and her husband work on their craft on Edisto Island, where they are year-round residents. |
